Before you arrive and on your arrival, there are several important tasks that you need to complete. We have listed them all here for you, along with links to useful information to help you get prepared.

6 weeks to go

  • Celebrate your success and get involved on social media! #LboroFamily
  • Find out what accommodation options are available Accommodation
  • Look out for an email containing instructions on accessing your IT credentials and follow the steps IT credentials
  • Set up Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) on your device MFA
  • Using your IT credentials (and a photo that fits our guidelines), register online Register

5 weeks to go

  • Familiarise yourself with the term and semester dates Calendar

4 weeks to go

3 weeks to go

  • Download your FREE student IT software, including Microsoft Office Download
  • Get stuck into our student blogs and YouTube channel – preparation is key! Blogs
  • Start preparing for your academic studies Prepare
  • Plan your route on how to get to campus Directions
  • Make sure your online registration is complete, and you can access your student email account Register

2 weeks to go

  • Download the myLboro app and sign in with your IT credentials to access your timetable, emails and more App
  • Follow Loughborough Students’ Union (LSU) on social media for Welcome Week announcements
  • Familiarise yourself with the support available from IT Services IT Services
  • Browse the student handbook for lots of helpful information Handbook
  • Familiarise yourself with the induction schedule Induction

1 week to go

  • Look at the clubs and societies on offer, as well as LSU sections you might want to get involved with LSU
  • Explore what sports facilities there are at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Sport
  • Check you have provided everything for the prompt release of your student loan Check
  • Make sure your in-person registration slot is booked and you know what documents to bring with you UK and Irish nationals Other nationals

The day before

  • Make sure you know where you are going and how to reach us Directions

Arrivals week

  • Complete your registration and collect your ID card Registration
  • Attend your induction Induction
  • Register with a local dentist Find a dentist
  • Meet with the Student Wellbeing and Inclusivity (SWAI) team to discuss any further support you may need during your studies with us Welfare team
