Dr Zhichao Ma joined Institute for Digital Technologies (Loughborough University London) in September 2023.
Academic background
Zhichao was awarded a PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Newcastle University (UK) in 2021. Prior to joining Loughborough University London, Zhichao worked in FinTrust Research Group (School of Computing, Newcastle University) as a Research Associate, investigating the impact that FinTech generate in financial service industry. After the completion of FinTrust research project, Zhichao was appointed as a Teaching Fellow by School of Computing (Newcastle University), delivering high-quality teaching on a wide range of computer science modules.
Research
Zhichao’s current research focuses on exploring the potentials of artificial intelligence in finance, ranging from fraud detection, credit risk management, financial forecasting and lending strategy.
